William Frederick Smith

William Frederick Smith of 7 Emilie Street died Monday morning at the Brantford General Hospital he was born in Stratford, England, 64 years ago and was a resident of Brantford for 52 years. Mr. Smith was an employee of Silverwoods Diary Limited for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the First World War, serving with the 125th Battalion, C.E.F. Mr. Smith was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Silverwoods. Surviving are Mrs. Smith, the former Loretta Hunks and three sons, Bernard of Detroit, Ross and Don of Brantford; three daughters, Mrs. Ross (Laurine) Sherred, Mrs. Violet Multbey of Hamilton and Mrs. Thomas (Emma) Payne of Brantford and 11 grandchildren. Mr. Smith is resting at the Beckett Funeral Home for service on Wednesday at 3.30 p.m. Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. T.D. Painting of Holy Trinity Anglican Church will officiate.
