G.S.W. L. Knee

Wounded May 3rd 1917 by shrapnel.  Taken to No. 18 General.  Sent to England at end of a week.  No operation in France.  Sent to Seafield War Hosp.  Had operation there for removal of T.B. from L. thigh.  Had had no operation for the wound of L. knee.  Returned to duty At. Aug. 4th 17 has been carrying on as businessman ever since.  Has achy pain after marching.  Other wounds (L Arm, L. Thigh & R. Lower Leg) all healed with no trouble. Ex small piece of shrapnel felt in front of L. Patella.  Quite superficial.

Resting at the Smith and Thompson Funeral Home, 184 Grand River Street North, Pairs.  Funeral service from St. James Anglican Church, Paris, Tuesday at 3.30 p.m.  Interment Paris Cemetery.
