Word has been received by Mrs. Alice McCormick, Farringdon Hill, that her son, Private Louis Robert Charles McCormick is in Edgbaston, Birmingham, Hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound in the thigh. Pte. McCormick lived in the west for a number of years, but he had been back at his home at Farringdon for some time before he gave himself to the cause of freedom. He went to England with the 125th boys and had been in France since last March. His friends are anxiously awaiting further word from the wounded soldier himself.
