Lloyd Emerson Markle

PARIS – Lloyd E. Markle, 66 of R2 Paris, died Thursday at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto.  Born in the Paris district, he farmed there all his life. Mr. Markle was a member of Ayr Anglican Church and the Paris Canadian Legion.  He served in the First World War.  Surviving besides his wife, the former Edna May Jarvis, are two daughters, Mrs. Ian (Marie) Cruickshank and Mrs. John (Dorothy) Harkness, both of Paris; one brother, Ralph, of Paris; four grandchildren.  Two brothers predeceased him.  Mr. Markle will be at Bruce B. Smith’s Funeral Home, Paris, from Saturday noon for service Monday at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Ayr Cemetery.  Rev. James Stockton will officiate.
