John Walter Hill

HILL – Peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 18, 1981, John W. Hill, of Ohsweken, in his 83rd year; beloved husband of Mina G. Curley; loving father of Mrs. Merna Martin and Mrs. Mintern (Janet) Martin, both of Ohsweken; brother of Roderick R. Hill of Ohsweken; dear grandfather of Michael, Guy, Janice and Debra; also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; predeceased by one son Robert and one brother Ollie.  Mr. Hill was a veteran of the First and Second World Wars, serving overseas duty, also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 90, Brantford.  Resting at the Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken, until Saturday, 1:30 p.m. then to St. Peter’s Church, Ohsweken for funeral service at 2 p.m.  Interment in adjoining cemetery. Veterans’ service Friday, 7:30 p.m., followed by evening prayers, 8 p.m. Rev. K. Hansen officiating.  The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
