Word was received in the city yesterday by letter that Lieutenant John Reginald Gundy, formerly of the 215th Battalion, had been slightly gassed, and was in the hospital. He expected a quick recovery.

Lieutenant Reg Gundy has Been Wounded

Word has been received by his family today at Scotland that Lieutenant John Reginald Gundy, who left here with the 215th Battalion, had been wounded in action and had been admitted to hospital. Lieutenant Gundy has been gassed twice since going to France, and has now received a blighty.

John Reginald Gundy

J. Reginald Gundy, Hamilton, formerly of Brantford, died Friday at the Hamilton General Hospital.  Mr. Gundy was the son of the late Rev. James Gundy and Mrs. Gundy.  He attended Albert College and graduated from the University of Toronto.  Mr. Gundy enlisted with the 125th (Brant’s Own) Battalion in the First World War and on his return resided in Hamilton where he was manager of the Wood, Gundy and Co. office.  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Gundy Patterson, Toronto and one sister, Laura B. Gundy, Scotland, Ontario.  Interment will be in the family plot in Scotland Cemetery.
