EMMETT, John (Jud) – At the Brantford General Hospital, Saturday, April 9, 1977, in his 83rd year, John Emmett of 13 Bowes Avenue, beloved husband of Luella Wright (in St. Joseph’s Hospital); dear father of Judson of Brantford; brother of Mrs. Ted (Bessie) Owens, Brantford; Mrs. Jim (Mildred) Banforth, Brantford; Mrs. Stella Long, Toronto; Robert, Brantford; predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister; also survived by 6 grandsons and 2 great-grandchildren.  Mr. Emmett was a member of the Brant Artillery Gunners’ Club; Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 90; Dufferin Lawn Bowling Club and served overseas in World War One with the 54th Battery.  Visitation at the McCleister Funereal Home Ltd., 30 Brant Avenue.  Service in the chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m.  Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.  Rev. Howard Johnson officiating.
