James Jenkinson
James Jenkinson, 11 Charles Street, Toronto, formerly of Brantford, died in the Toronto General Hospital. He was born in England, and had been a resident of Canada for 48 years. He lived in Brantford before moving to Toronto 10 years ago, where he was employed at the Parliament Buildings, Queens Park. He was a veteran of the First World War, serving overseas with the “Mad Fourth” Battalion. He also served in the Second World War with the Veterans’ Guard. Surviving are one son, Ernest, Brantford; three daughters, Miss Marjorie Jenkinson, London, and Misses Doreen and Dorothy Jenkinson, both of Cobourg. Mr. Jenkinson is resting at the Hill and Robison Funeral Home until Thursday for service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.

The funeral of James Jenkinson was conducted Thursday afternoon at the Hill and Robinson Chapel with Rev. Cyril Squires, First Baptist Church, officiating. Relatives and friends were present. Pallbearers were D. Monkman, J. Turner, F. Casey, J. Waugh, C. Raven and R. Kennedy, all members of the Canadian Legion, Telephone City Branch. E.R. Edwards was in charge of the Legion group. Interment was in the Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.
