Charles A. Tapley

BURFORD – Charles A. Tapley died Wednesday at the home of his brother, Samuel Tapley, in his 68th year. Born in Burford Township, Mr. Tapley resided there with the exception of 11 years in Saskatchewan.  He served in the Canadian Army during the First World War with the 77th Battery of Regina.  He was a member of the Burford, Cathcart and Harley branch of the Canadian Legion.  Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. W.G. (Sadie) Flowerday of Flint, Michigan, Mrs. Ainsley (Myrtlee) Baker of Saginaw, Michigan, and Mrs. David (Bonnilee) Parratt of Falkland; three brothers, George and Samuel of Burford, and James of Hamilton.  Mr. Tapley is resting at the Robinson Funeral Home here for service Friday at 2.30 p.m.  Interment will be in Holy Trinity Churchyard.
