Albert Charles Johnson, Prisoner of War 

Mr. and Mrs. George Stenabaugh, 235 Nelson Street, have received a card from Private Albert Charles Johnson, of the P.P.C.L.I., who formerly resided with them stating that he had been taken prisoner and was in the prisoners of war camp at Dulmen, Westphalia.  He was previously officially reported missing as from Aug. 14.  He enlisted with the 125th Battalion, having previously been an employee of the Brantford Gas Company.  On the card he stated that he was doing well and expected to be home shortly.

JOHNSON, At the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, November 12, 1975, Albert Charles Johnson in his 91st year, formerly of Richardson Street, husband of the late Eva Merritt.  Mr. Johnson was an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church and served with the 125th Battalion and Princess Patricia’s Light Infantry, World War 1.  Resting at the Beckett Glaves Funeral Home, 88 Brant Avenue, until noon Friday.  Service in St. John’s Anglican Church on Friday at 3 p.m. with Canon C.V. Tomkins officiating.  Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.
