William Murray
The death took place Thursday at the Brantford General Hospital of William Murray, 153 Park Avenue, husband of Clara E. Benson, in his seventy-eighth year. Mr. Murray was born in Scotland and had been a resident of this City for thirty-eight years. He was an employee of the Canada Glue Company Limited for twenty years, but he retired two years ago. Deceased was a member of the 84th Battalion, and served in the 1914-1918 war. Besides his widow, he leaves to mourn his loss two sons, William, Virginia; Edward E., Buffalo, N.Y., and two daughters, Mrs. E. Clarke, Detroit, Michigan; Mrs. E.A. Moran, Buffalo, N.Y., and four brothers, David, Joseph, Alex and Hugh, Scotland, also a sister, Miss Bella Murray, Scotland. Mr. Murray is resting at Thorpe Brothers; Funeral Home, where the service will be conducted Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

The funeral of William Murray, 153 Park Avenue, was conducted Saturday afternoon from Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home. Rev. F.W. Schaffter of St. Jude’s Anglican Church was in charge of the service. The pallbearers were: George Unger, Harold Benson, J. Brillinger, A. Anderson, W. Winters and E.H. Foulger. Interment took place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
