Invalided Home

Invalided home through rheumatism sustained during his stay on the Somme front, Sergeant William Moore of 154 Strathcona Avenue slipped into the city this morning. He arrived from Toronto on the 1.09 T.H. and B. train this morning. He went overseas with a local battery. He is a married man.

Many friends will regret to learn of the death, which took place on Saturday of William Moore, a veteran of the 4th Battalion, also of the South African War. He passed away at his late residence, 55 Strathcona Avenue, after a brief illness with Spanish influenza. He was in his 49th year and leaves to mourn his loss a sorrowing widow and four children, three daughters and one son, Mrs. Ford, Dorothy and Patricia and Frank at home. The funeral is taking place this afternoon under the auspices of the G.W.V.A.
