Dr. William Murray Lays
The funeral of Dr. William Murray Leys, Montreal, was conducted Thursday morning, on the arrival of the Canadian National train. Rev. J.R. Esler, Pastor of the Alexander Presbyterian Church, had charge of the service, which was largely attended by friends. A large display of floral tributes also testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held. The pallbearers were C.H. Bourne and J.P. Temple, representing Doric Lodge, A.F. and A.M. Kenneth Coles and Clem Coles, representing the I.O.O.F., William Elliott and F.L. Gould, representing the Sons of Scotland. The Interment took place in the family plot in Mount Hope Cemetery.
