William Healey

The death of William Healey, 75, occurred Saturday at his home in Windsor.  Born at Stockport, England, Mr. Healey had been a resident of Brantford until 12 years ago, when he moved to Windsor.  He was a stationary engineer at the Prince Edward Hotel, Brantford and during the First World War enlisted with the 125th Battalion, Brantford.  A sergeant, he served with the stretcher-bearers section of the battalion. Mr. Healey was an Anglican.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Healey, one brother, Arthur Healey, Brantford, one step-son Harold Richards, Tecumseh; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ted (Glenys) Richmond, England, and Mrs. Frank (Lilly) Walsh, Farmington, Michigan; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Mr. Healey will rest at the Beckett Funeral Home from Tuesday morning.  The service will be conducted Wednesday at 3.30 p.m. with interment in the soldiers’ plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.
