Returning Veterans

Two more local heroes, who have taken their share in the great Empire struggle, are expected to return to the city in a few days. They are Pte. William Hart, of 231 West Mill Street, who left with a draft from the 38th regiment in September, 1915 and Private Archibald George Moore, of 259 Brock Street who, enlisted in the early days of the war.

Invalided Home

Private William Hart, invalided home through injuries received in an English training camp, arrived back in the city at 7.32 Saturday evening. Although the Soldiers’ Aid Commission did not learn that he was coming till the same afternoon, he was met at the station and accorded a welcome home. Pte. Hart is a single man and resides at 231 West Mill Street. He enlisted with the 84th Battalion in September 1915, and because of injuries received whilst training in England, never reached France.
