William John Fullerton

William John Fullerton, 86 of 29 Admiral Road died Friday in Brantford General Hospital.  Born in Ireland he came to Brantford in 1926.  Mr. Fullerton was an employee of the Watson Manufacturing Company, retiring in 1952.  He served with the Imperial Army in the First World War and was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion.  Mr. Fullerton was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth McCotter; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Sylvia) Kings of Brantford; seven sons, William of Wasaga Beach, Leonard of Toronto, Maurice, Martin, Desmond, Terrance and James, all of Brantford; 28 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Mr. Fullerton is at the Beckett Funeral Home for service Monday at 9.30 a.m.  A requiem mass will be held at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Note: William Fullerton was Struck off Strength with the 19th Battalion and would later join the 1st Garrison Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles Regiment.
