PARIS – Thomas B. Newell, 59-year-old druggist, died Monday at his home in Toronto.  Born in Paris, he was a graduate of the Ontario College of Pharmacy, and retired two years ago.  Surviving are his widow and three sons.

The funeral service for Thomas B. Newell, 59, native of Paris, Ont., was held Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, Toronto.  Interment was in Westminster Memorial Park.  For many years Mr. Newell operated a drug store at St. Clair Avenue west and Vaughan Road, Toronto.  He retired two years ago because of heart trouble.  Mr. Newell served overseas in the First World War with the Canadian Engineers and was a member of the United Church and the Sappers Club.  Surviving are his widow, the former Olga Sweetman; three sons, George, John and Thomas, and two brothers, Arthur, West Palm Beach, Fla., and William, Paris, Ontario.
