Slipped Home Quietly

Not even his relatives knowing that he was returning, Private Thomas A. Martin, son of Mrs. T.A. Martin, of 82 Colborne Street, slipped quietly back into the city last Thursday, having been wounded twice. He is home on furlough and has to report back to England. Pte. Martin was with the 8th Battalion but enlisted at Paris with the C.M.R. under Capt. Patterson of that village. Included in a party of returned soldiers who reached Toronto yesterday was Pte. G. Vines of Paris. No Brantford men were in the party.
