Thomas William Howell

The death of Thomas William Howell, 177 William Street, Brantford, occurred Wednesday at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, in his 76th year.  Mr. Howell was born at Hastings, England.  He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Howell, and came to Brantford in 1913.  He was employed at the Whitaker Bread Company, later the Canada Bread Company.  He was a veteran of the First Great War, enlisting with the 125th Battalion, and saw service in England and France.  He had been a member of the Canadian Legion.  He is survived by his widow, the former Ada Cloke; one daughter, Mrs. E.A. Sparrow and one grandson, T.W. Cummings.  Mr. Howell is resting at the McCleister Funeral Home, where service will be conducted on Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in the Soldiers Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.

Thomas William Howell

The funeral service for Thomas William Howell, 177 William Street, was conducted Saturday afternoon at the McCleister Funeral Home. Beautiful floral tributes and the presence of neighbors and friends marked the esteem in which Mr. Howell was held.  Rev. L.B. Jenkins of St. James’ Anglican Church officiated at the funeral service and at the interment in the Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.  The pallbearers were John Medd, Robert Hignell, Wallace Skinner, John Haynes, Sam Lowe and William Stanford.
