Circumstances of Casualty: Killed in Action. He took part in the attack on Cambrai and was last seen alive when leaving the “jumping off” position. Most of his Company became casualties and no further details of the circumstances under which he met his death are available.

BX October 23, 1918

Mrs. Lucy Hoe, 105 Cayuga Street, has been advised that her husband, Private Thomas Hoe was killed in action on September 30. Private Hoe left here with the 215th Battalion. When the news was received Mrs. Hoe was ill from the prevailing influenza, rendering the sad intelligence particularly distressing.
