MEATES – In the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday July 8, 1970, Samuel George Meates (veteran of the First World War) in his 76th year; beloved husband of Lottie Clouse, formerly of Drummond Street, dear father of Mildred McGinnis; brother of Mrs. James (Elizabeth) Humphrey, both of Brantford; also 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Resting at Hill and Robinson Limited, Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets, until Friday.  Service in the chapel at 3.30 p.m.  Interment Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.
