MERLIHAN – At the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, August 8, 1974, Russell J. Merlihan in his 77th year, of 50 Bishop Street; husband of the late Muriel Rathbun; bother of Reginald and Mrs. Chester (Lauriene) Studier both of Brantford; uncle of Mrs. Carl (Betty) Detweiler and Miss Karen Merlihan and Brian Studier all of Brantford; Mrs. Dan (Gail) Johnson and Christopher Merlihan both of Woodstock.  Mr. Merlihan both of Woodstock.  Mr. Merlihan was a member of Brant Lodge A.F. and A.M., a veteran of the First World War and a member of the Brantford Gunners’ Club, a former employee of George Watt and Son.  Resting at Hill and Robinson Limited Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets, from Sunday noon until Monday.  Service in the chapel at 2 p.m.  Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.  Rev. G.A. McMechan will officiate.
