Russell Herbert Dinsmore
Russell H. Dinsmore, 70, of 33 Tutela Heights Road, died Wednesday in the Brantford General Hospital. He was born in Oneida Township the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dinsmore, and had been a resident of this district nearly all of his life. He farmed in Brant County until his retirement in 1951 when he took up residence in Brantford. Mr. Dinsmore was a veteran of the First World War, serving with the 215th Battalion. Surviving besides his wife, the former Rosalie Miller, are 10 sons, Cecil, David, Raymond all of Brantford, Dennis at home, Kenneth of Princeton, Ross of Barrie, Reginald of Akron, Ohio, Leslie of Hamilton, Leonard and Allan of Oshawa; five daughters, Mrs. Richard (Doris) Poutney, Mrs. Margaret Carpenter both of Brantford, Mrs. Mervyn (Jean) McLean of Toronto, Mrs. Jack (Grace) Broughton, Mrs. Edward (Elsie) Pellow of London; two brothers, Robert and Leslie of Brantford; six sisters, Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Whitehouse, Mrs. George (Grace) Wreaks, Mrs. Lloyd (Florence) Myerscough, Mrs. Ross (Erie) Ludlow, Mrs. Frank (Leone) Mulligan, Mrs. Harris (Ada) McCann all of Brantford; 49 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Mr. Dinsmore is at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home for service in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
