Mahlon Hardy
The death occurred in the Brantford General Hospital yesterday of Mahlon Hardy, 9 Able Avenue, in his sixty-ninth year. Born in Norfolk County, he had been a resident of Brantford for the past fifty years. He had been employed at the Massey-Harris firm here for more than thirty years. During the First World War he enlisted with the 125th Battalion, went overseas with it and served throughout the war. Mr. Hardy was also a member of the Canadian Legion. He is survived by his widow, Mary Heard. Mr. Hardy is resting at the Beckett Funeral Home where the service will be held Monday afternoon, followed by interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mahlon Hardy
The funeral of Mahlon Hardy was conducted yesterday afternoon from the Beckett Funeral Home to the Soldiers’ Plot Mount Hope Cemetery, with Rev. L.H. Hylton, of Immanuel Baptist Church in charge. The pallbearers, members of the local branch of the Canadian Legion, of which Mr. Hardy was also a member, and employees of the Massey-Harris plant, where he also worked, were: Legionnaires H. Twidale, A. Monkman and H, Kneller, in charge of Comrade E.R. Edwards, and Stephen Smith, Fred Clark and William Taylor. The services were largely attended by Brantford and out-of-town mourners and a large number of floral tributes had been sent.
