Circumstances of Casualty: "Died of Wounds" While on duty in a front line trench on the morning of June 13th 1917, he was severely wounded in the arm by shrapnel from a high explosive shell.  He received First Aid, was taken to a Field Ambulance and evacuated to No. 6 Casualty Clearing Station where he died the same day.
