Mrs. Fanny Small, 115 Eagle Avenue, has received official word that her son-in-law, Private Joseph Small, infantry, had been admitted to No. 1 General Hospital, Etretat on June 2, with an accidental fracture of the leg. The injury is given as severe. Pte. Small left with the first overseas battalion of the Dufferin Rifles and went to France with the first draft from that battalion. It is not known how he received the injury.
