GOYIT – BAYST
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. John’s church, London, Eng., on April 4, when Miss Ethel Bayst of Derwent road, London, England, became the bride of Pte. J.H. Goyit of Brantford. After the wedding ceremony the guests proceeded to the bride’s home, where a wedding luncheon was served. The bride received many beautiful and useful gifts.

George H. Goyit
A veteran of the First Great War, George Hutchison “Joe” Goyit, former resident of this City, now of Hespeler, passed away Wednesday night in the Galt General Hospital in his sixty-fourth year. Born in Haldimand County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Goyit, he served overseas with the Canadian forces and in 1919 married Miss Ethel Bayst in England. He was a moulder by trade and also a member of the Hespeler branch of the Canadian Legion. Surviving are his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Stanley Keating and Mrs. Leonard Rickert, Brantford, Miss Violet Goyit, Hespeler; Miss Edna Goyit, Toronto, and Mrs. Sevier, Oshawa, and five sons, William, Brantford, Norman and Donald, Hespeler; Arthur, Detroit, Mich., and Pte. George, overseas. Three sisters and a brother also survive. The funeral is being held Friday afternoon, with a service conducted at the Stager and Company funeral Chapel, Queen Street West, Hespeler. Interment will be in the Hespeler Cemetery.
