His Loyalty Appreciated

Harry Hughes an employee of the Matthews-Laing company who has volunteered for active service, having joined the company being raised by the Dufferin Rifles this morning received a letter from the firm expressing its pride in the fact that one of its employees had volunteered to go in the aid of the Empire and assuring him that there would be a place for him in the factory on his return.  Accompanying the letter was a substantial purse of gold from the firm and its employees.
