Given Wrist Watch

On Friday night Messenger Howard Joshua Lloyd of the customs department was made the recipient of a handsome wrist watch from the staff of the customs department on his departure to join the 215th Battalion. The presentation was made in the long room, ex-Mayor Spence in a brief but fitting address complimenting Mr. Lloyd on the decision he had made in joining the soldier boys.

LLOYD – At St. Petersburg, Florida, on Tuesday, December 10, 1974.  Howard J. Lloyd, in his 81st years, of 86 Ontario Street, husband of the late Mary Ann Edwards; dear father of Mrs. H.J. (Vera) Hillier, Brantford; Mrs. Reg. (Doris) Barbra, Detroit; Melvin, Smiths Falls and Kenneth, Burlington; also 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Resting at the Beckett Glaves Funeral Home, 88 Brant Avenue from 7 p.m. Thursday, in the chapel on Saturday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Robert Rumble officiating.  Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
