Henry Lockley

The death occurred in the Brantford General Hospital today of Henry (Harry) Lockley, husband of the former Annie Hughes, of 92 Emilie Street, in his 68th year.  He was born in Barrow-in-Furness, England, coming to Canada in 1910.  At the beginning of the First World War he enlisted with the 125th Battalion and served for the duration with that same unit. He had been an employee of Cockshutt Farm Equipment Ltd., for over 40 years, as an assembler.  Mr. Lockley was a member of the 21 year Club at Cockshutt’s and was a member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church.  Surviving besides his widow are three sisters, Mrs. Bert Warham, Brantford, Mrs. Margaret Edge, Brantford and Mrs. Mary Davie, Leamington; two brothers, Richard, Brantford, and John, England.  Mr. Lockley is resting at the Beckett Funeral Home for service on Monday at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Henry Lockley

The funeral service for Henry Lockley, 92 Emilie Street, took place, Monday afternoon at the Beckett Funeral Home, with Rev. T.D. Painting, rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, officiating.  The 21 Year Club of the Cockshutt Farm Equipment Ltd. Was largely represented.  Mr. Lockley having been a member of the group.  There were many floral tributes.  The pallbearers were Edward Kuhr, Ray Mercer, Harold Warham, James Lockley, Arthur Wilson and Robert Wilson.  Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
