Appreciated the Gift of Tobacco – Harry William Peirce Says Boys Were Delighted to be Remembered

In connection with the gifts of tobacco sent to our active service men and supplied through money contributed to the Overseas Tobacco Fund through The Expositor, the following card has been received at The Expositor office:

January 1, 1916

Many Thanks for the nice Christmas gift you sent to the Brantford soldiers. I am sure we appreciate it very much to think we are remembered. I received mine last week; expect to leave here any time. We are quarantined at present with spinal meningitis.

Yours truly,

Harry Peirce
