Veteran of Vimy Ridge is Dead – Private George Taylor Died of Wounds in Leicester Hospital

Mrs. Taylor of 66 Eagle Avenue has received word of the death of her husband, Pte. George Taylor, in Leicester General Hospital on May 27, of gunshot wounds received at Vimy Ridge. The deceased went out from Brantford as a Salvation Army officer and was stationed at Tweed, Ont., when he enlisted in the 155th Battalion. His death is deeply regretted by the local corps, who held him in high esteem.
