BX October 8, 1918

That Private George Harold Mellor had been admitted to the 22nd Casualty Clearing Station on September 28th suffering from gas poisoning was the word received yesterday morning by Mrs. James Wright, Willow Street. Private George Mellor enlisted with the 215th Battalion and on arrival overseas was transferred to the Princess Pats.

Mrs. J. Wright, Paris, Ont., received word that her son-in-law, Private George Harold Mellor, had been admitted to the 22nd Casualty Clearing Station, Sept. 28, with gas poisoning. Pte. Mellor left with the 215th Battalion. Later he was transferred to the Princess Pats. While working in Brantford Harold worked at the Forde grocery.
