George Enos Madgwick

George Enos Madgwick died Sunday at the John Noble Home in his 68th year.  A son of the late George Thomas Madgwick and Clara Madgwick, Mr. Madgwick was born at Saginaw, Mich., and resided in Brantford since coming to Canada about 50 years ago.  He was employed with the Watson Manufacturing Company for over 40 years before his retirement in 1953.  He was a veteran of the First World War with overseas service.  Mr. Madgwick was a life member of the Canadian Legion BESL Branch 90.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. E.J. (Lillian) Hamerton of Vancouver; one son, George of Brantford; three sisters, Mrs. George (Pearl) Rolph of Lavonia, Mich., Mrs. D.C. (Lola) Laing and Mrs. Merle Maidens, both of Brantford; five grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his wife, the former Clara Rathbun.  Mr. Madgwick is resting at the McCleister Funeral Home for service Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. E.K. Bissell of St. Paul’s Anglican Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
