George LeConte Jr.

George LeConte, Jr., beloved husband of Mary LeConte, passed away at the Brantford General Hospital Wednesday evening in his forty-first year after one week’s illness.  Born in England, Mr. LeConte came to Brantford twenty-seven years ago.  He has been employed by Waterous Limited since a boy at the age of fifteen He leaves his widow, a son, Ted, a daughter, Frances, at home, his father and mother, two brothers and five sisters, Mrs. A. Brown, Mrs. F. Singleton and Mrs. A. Gooch, City.  Mrs. H. Atchison, Hamilton and Mrs. A. Martin, Welland.  The funeral will be conducted Saturday from his home to Balfour Street United Church.  Interment will be in Farringdon Burial Ground.

George LeConte Jr.

Funeral services for George LeConte were conducted Saturday afternoon.  A private service was held at his residence, 15 Bell Lane, followed by a public service at Balfour Street United Church.  Rev. George Wishart, Minister of the church, was in charge of the services attended by a large number of relatives and friends.  L. Davison, Organist of the church played by request an organ solo, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”  Many beautiful floral tributes were received.  The pallbearers were B. Oliver, W. Tennant, M. Polish, R. Cahill, W. Cook and R. Potter.  Interment was in Farringdon Burial Ground.
