Frederick George Lee

The death of Frederick G. Lee, 70, a veteran of the First World War, occurred at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday. Mr. Lee was born in England had had been a resident of this city for many years.  He enlisted with the 125th Infantry Battalion and saw service with this unit overseas.  He was a member of St. Jude’s Anglican Church and resided at 39 Charlotte Street.  He had been employed for many years at the Cockshutt Plow Company.  He is resting at the McCleister Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday afternoon.  Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Frederick George Lee

The funeral of Frederick G. Lee, a former member of the 125th Battalion and veteran of the First World War, was conducted from the McCleister Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon.  Rev. F.W. Schaffter, St. Jude’s Anglican Church, officiated at the service and at the interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.  Among friends in attendance were representatives from Branch 90 Canadian Legion and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of which Mr. Lee was a member, and from the Cockshutt Plow Company, where he had worked for many years.  The pallbearers, all members of the Canadian Legion, were in charge of E.R. Edwards, they were D. Monkman, A. Wright, G. Rickwood, J. Lune, J. Turner and G. Moon.  Bugler George McGregor sounded Last Post.
