Indian Warrior Died in England – Pte. Frank Staats of Construction Battalion Was Taken Ill Overseas

Taken ill at Seaforth, England, on March 3, Private Frank Staats, who went overseas from Brantford with the 257th Construction Battalion, died five days later. Death took place in the military hospital there. He was a member of Court Brantford, 503, I.O.F. Before enlisting he was a resident on the Indian reserve and followed the occupation of a farmer. A wife and seven children mourn the loss of a hero husband and father.
