Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Linington have been officially informed that their son, Private Ernest Roy Linington was gassed and shell shocked on Nov. 10. He went overseas with the 125th Battalion but was transferred to a Canadian Battalion in France. He has one brother in England with the 125th Battalion. He was admitted to the 6th Field Ambulance Depot. Up to the time of his enlistment he was working with an uncle on a farm in South Dumfries. He formerly resided in London, Ont., removing here some years ago.

Veteran Home

Ernest Roy Linington, who went overseas with the 125th Battalion, arrived in the city on Monday on the 4.40 p.m. radial from Hamilton. He got off the car down the line and made for his home at 120 Elgin Street at once. After being badly gassed at the front he was discharged in England, but has to report in Toronto on April 9.
