Elton Fuller Dies in Accident

Crushed between a trailer and a loading platform, Elton Edward Fuller, employee of the Direct Winters Transport, Hamilton and a native of this City, was fatally injured in Toronto, Saturday.  His father, William Fuller resides here.

The accident, police report, was caused when a tractor, backing up towards the trailer, for the purpose of connecting the two, jarred the trailer, carrying a seven-ton load.

The victim was standing on the ground handing bills of lading to a shipper when the trailer rolled about two feet, pinning him against the building and crushing his chest.

Mr. Fuller, who resided at 23 Land Street, Hamilton, had been with the Direct Winters Transport for the last six years and had resided in Hamilton the same length of time.  He was an adherent of the Presbyterian Church and was born here 51 years ago.  Surviving the deceased are his widow, the former Ellen Catharine Hall; three sons, Elton, William and Arthur, at home in Hamilton, and his father here.

The deceased is resting at the Brown Brothers’ Funeral Home, Hamilton, where the funeral service will be conducted.
