Private Edwin Herbert Euston Matthews is another Brantford soldier to receive a wound in the arm. He had been in the 2nd Stationary hospital, Abbeville with a gunshot wound in the right arm, since August 31. Mrs. Matthews received the message of her husband today. The soldier was an Englishman who had served 12 years in the Royal Navy. He had also been in the 38th Battalion for five years. He was a blacksmith in the city and was widely known. He left with the boys of the 125th.
