BX February 13, 1939

David Macmillan

David Neil Macmillan died suddenly this morning at his residence on the Paris highway of coronary thrombosis.  Mr. Macmillan served during the war with the Strathcona Horse and had suffered war disabilities since.  He was a member of Branch 90 of the Canadian Legion.  Let to mourn his loss are his widow, two sons, David and James; two daughters, Edith and Jean; four sisters, Mrs. John S. Dowling, City; Miss Macmillan, Mrs. Eames, Coalville, England; Mrs. Every, Bothwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland, and a brother, Donald, London, England.  Mr. Macmillan will rest at the Beckett Funeral Home until Wednesday afternoon, when the funeral will be held at Grace Anglican Church.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

David Macmillan

The funeral of David Neil Macmillan was conducted from the Beckett Funeral Home to Grace Church yesterday afternoon.  Archdeacon A.L.G. Clarke was in charge of the service attended by a large number of relatives and friends.  Lovely floral tributes were received.  The pallbearers were Lt.-Col. L.F. Bishop, Ian Dowling, A.G. Russell, Detroit; Harold Kitchen, Vernon Keith, Buffalo and Tom Mintern.
