Charles Henry (Pat) Madgwick
The death of Charles Henry (Pat) Madgwick, 47 Paris Hill Avenue, occurred in the Brantford General Hospital, early Sunday morning in his 44th year.
Mr. Madgwick was born in Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Madgwick, natives of Ontario, who now reside on Paris Hill Avenue. For several years Mr. Madgwick was employed by the Watson Mfg. Col., and early in the Great War went overseas with the 54th Battery, serving with this unit until 1918. Through his years of war service, he sustained physical disability from which he never recovered.
He was a member of the Reba Lodge, A.F. and A.M. and of the Paris Branch of the Canadian Legion.
He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Mary Maguire; one son, Charles, at home; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Madgwick, 47 Paris Hill Avenue; one brother, George Madgwick, Brantford; and three sisters Mrs. G. Rolph, Detroit; Mrs. D. Laing, Brantford, and Mrs. L. Maidens, Simcoe.
The late Mr. Madgwick is resting at the McCleister Funeral Home, 48 Brant Avenue, where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon. Interment will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

The funeral of Charles Henry (Pat) Madgwick was conducted Tuesday afternoon from the McCleister Funeral Home, 48 Brant Avenue, Rev. R.W. Lane officiated at the service. There were many beautiful floral tributes which testified to the esteem in which deceased was held by all who knew him. Reba Lodge A.F. and A.M. performed the last rites of the order at the graveside. Those who took part and acted as pallbearers were; Wor. Bro. F. Perrins, Wor. Bro. C. Wilkins, Wor. Bro. T.E. Greenaway, Bro. A. McAllen, Bro. C. Dickison and Bro J. Leith. The Paris Branch of the Canadian Legion of which he was a member and representatives of the Brantford Branch of the Canadian Legion were in attendance. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery where a large number of friends and relatives gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased.
