Rush Operation

Private Cameron Stapleton of the 215th Battalion, was operated on, on Friday evening for acute appendicitis. Pte. Stapleton was on parade on Friday morning, taken to the hospital late that afternoon and operated on the same evening. The operation was performed by Drs. Coates and Secord, who expressed the opinion that if the operation had been delayed 24 hours, his life could not have been saved.

Mrs. A. Stapleton of Jerseyville has received word that her son, Gunner Cameron Stapleton, has been seriously wounded in the leg. He received training with the 215th and left for overseas last November.
