BX October 15, 1918

Mrs. Frank Scanlon 230 Dalhousie Street, on Monday received official word from Ottawa that her son, Private Byron Anderson Scanlon, infantry, had been admitted to the war Hospital, Huddersfield, Oct. 2, with a gunshot wound in the right shoulder. Pte. Scanlon left Brantford with the First Brants, being drafted to the 38th Battalion in March last. He was but a youngster when he signed up, but he has played a man’s part throughout.
