Mrs. Maynard, mother of Bert Maynard, 125th, recently reported wounded, has received a letter from him stating that he is doing well. He received a machine gun bullet through the calf of his leg. He was formerly one of the chief workers in the P.S.A. Club of the Congregational Church.

MAYNARD, Bert – At Brantford general Hospital on Friday, February 3, 1995, in his 97th year, Bert Maynard; beloved husband of Lillian Maynard; dear father of Eleanor Weston, Florida; Marci Hart and her husband, Mitchell, New Mexico; dear brother of Jack Maynard, Toronto; loving grandfather of six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; Bert Maynard was a chartered accountant in Brantford for over 25 years; served in the First World War for three years, Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, North Chapel, 495 Park Road North on Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday at 1.30 p.m.  Rev. Paul Scrutton will officiate.  Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.  If wished, memorial donations to the Red Cross Homemakers gratefully appreciated.
