Arthur Healey Reported Wounded

That Private Arthur Healey, of this city, came through the big fight with the Canadians all right, but was wounded a few days later, was the word received here yesterday. Pte. Healey was formerly employed at Slingsby’s Mills. It was a few days after the big fight that he received three small pieces of shrapnel in his leg. Prior to this his wrist-watch was badly smashed by a piece of shell. Had it not been for the watch he would have lost his hand altogether.

Arthur Healey Wounded for a Second Time

Mrs. William Healey, of 15 Able Avenue, received word yesterday that her brother-in-law Private Arthur Healey had been wounded on November 7 in the left thigh and admitted to No. 6 Clearing Station. This is the second time that he has been wounded. He went to France with the first draft from the first Brant County Battalion and was wounded first on April 25, 1916. Before enlisting he worked at Slingsby’s.
