Word was received in the city yesterday by his sisters from Private Archie McCoy, stating the nature of his condition. Archie was wounded on May 4 in the heavy fighting being buried in a dugout with five others, all being killed but two. Archie considers himself very lucky. He is now confined to the Scottish Red Cross Hospital, Bellahouston, Scotland suffering from shot in the face, affecting the sight of the left eye. Archie went overseas with the First Brant Battalion and formerly resided with his sister, Mrs. Hamilton, 209 Park Avenue.
