Andrew Fotheringham

Andrew Fotheringham, 89 of John Noble Home and formerly of 82 Gordon Street, died at the John Noble Home today.  Born in Scotland, he had been a resident of Brantford for 56 years.  He was a former employee of Cockshutt Farm Equipment of Canada Ltd., retiring in 1947 after 40 years of service.  He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church.  Mr. Fotheringham was also a member of the 21 Year Club and the Ex-Servicemen’s Association of Cockshutt’s.  He was a veteran of the First World War, serving with the 125th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.  His wife Euphemia died in 1952.  He is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Eric (Ruth) Coates of Weston and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Fotheringham will be at Beckett Funeral Home from 7 p.m.  Sunday for service Monday at 2 p.m.  Rev. Gordon Hastings of Knox Presbyterian Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
