Alfred Jackson

PARIS, Alfred Jackson, 66 of 5 William Street, died at his home, Sunday, following a long illness.  Born in Beeston, England, he had lived here for 50 years.  Before retiring he was a clerk in the local Ontario Liquor Control Board store.  He was a member of St. James’ Anglican Church and Branch 29, Canadian Legion.  He served with the 125th Battalion during the First World War.  Surviving are his widow, the former Emma Watson; two sons, William and Arthur, both of Paris, and two daughters, Henrietta, Paris and Mrs. Aubrey (Kathleen) Hewitt, Owen Sound.  Funeral service will be held at the Bruce B. Smith Funeral Home, Tuesday, at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Paris Cemetery.
