MARTIN, Ackland – At the Brantford General Hospital, on Thursday, May 27, 1982, Ackland Martin of R6 Hagersville, in his 90th year; husband of the late Elsie Martin; loving father of Mrs. Audrey Cowan, Roanoke, Virginia; dear stepfather of Johnny Martin, Phoenix, Arizona; brother of Mrs. Ila Simmons, Buffalo, New York; also survived by several grandchildren; predeceased by one son, Liebert. Mr. Martin was a veteran of the First World War with overseas duty. Resting at the Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken, from 4 p.m. Saturday (today). Funeral service Sunday, 3:30 p.m. at the Grand River Untied Church. Interment in adjoining cemetery. Evening prayers Saturday, 7 p.m. Rev. L. King officiating.
